About

Amanda L. Orien is the pseudonym for an Amanda who writes high-heat sci-fi and fantasy romances with lots of snark, and who thinks she is incredibly witty and hilarious. (Her dad says she’s a legend in her own mind, but she’s pretty sure that still counts as validation.)

Having survived the trenches of retail management, followed by a tour in higher education project management, this Amanda realized that finishing books she started writing is much harder. But she does it anyway because she loves to tell stories that end with a… bang.

Ba-dum-tss.

Beyond novels, she also has experience writing steamy romance-centric scripts for mobile games, but if she told you which ones, she’d have to… well, you know how those NDAs go.

As an author who identifies as demisexual and panromantic, is neurodivergent, and lives in a perfectly plus-sized body, Amanda strives to include similar elements in her stories so that she can see herself – and others like her – in characters who deserve their Happily Ever Afters, too.

The Southern Arizona transplant can be found in New England, kicking leaves and making snow angels as often as is humanly possible and commenting on the phenomenon known as “seasons”.
